A Kiddy Lamp is a small lamp also known as a ‘tinning lamp’. It is made from a carnation condensed milk can and was mainly used around the house and mostly in the kitchen in Jamaica.
In 1973 the kiddy lamp was selected by JAMAL (Jamaica Association for the Advancement of Literacy) - as its symbol, their motto, 'Lighten Our Darkness'
